NON - PORTABLE IMMERSION HEATERS   Immersion Heaters More Photos

WAAGE Engineering non-portable immersion heaters are sturdy, screw-in units of single and multiple tube design. They are heavy duty heaters made especially for commercial use.

Construction
Coiled nickel-chrome alloy heating elements, centered by hard refractories, are vibro-packed with insulating materials of high thermal conductivity. Sheathing materials are copper for water heating, steel for oil heating, and stainless steel for use in corrosive liquids. Ova; shaped tubes provide minimum distance of heat transfer and permit multi-tube installation in minimum space. All joints and seams are hard soldered, brazed, or welded, then pressure tested against leakage. Standard units are equipped with outlet boxes for making electrical connections.

Applications  These non-portable, heavy duty immersion heaters are installed through the walls of tanks for heating water, oils, heat transfer mediums, etc.

DRUM AND BARREL HEATERS   imhtrg_small.gif - 2770 Bytes More Photos

L-shaped styles, deep tank styles are available.

With Thermostat Control
WAAGE Engineering drum and barrel heaters are designed for rapid heating and melting of thick liquids to facilitate handling in open containers. Standard heaters are 18" in diameter with a 36" riser to fit 55 gallon drums.

Construction
Drum heaters are constructed with coiled nickel-chrome alloy heating elements. The single tube riser and triple loop heating coil is reinforced to give added stability. the heaters are sheathed in steel or stainless steel depending on the liquids to be heated. They are equipped with automatic thermostat control.

Applications
WAAGE Engineering drum heaters are immersed in the top of an open drum to melt or liquefy grease, paraffin, wax or any other thick or congealed liquid. When used to melt solids, the heater is placed n top of the substance; as melting occurs, the heater settles to the bottom of the drum by gravity.

FLASH IMMERSION HEATERS   stingerg_small.jpg - 1524 Bytes More Photos

Safe and Efficient
WAAGE Engineering Flash Immersion Heaters are designed for quick immersion "over the side" of tanks or vessels. They are portable and ideally suited for applications where it is impractical to install immersion heaters through the sides of tanks. These heaters are used in laboratories, industrial plants, institutions, barber shops, beauty salons, and in the home. Their use for sterilizing and heating liquids to a boil is more efficient than other methods because they make direct contact with the liquid rather than first having to heat a vessel or container. Following are some typical applications which demonstrate the many varied uses of Portable WAAGE Engineering Flash Immersion Heaters:

  • In the sick room for sterilizing, vaporizing the atmosphere and other purposes.
  • By travelers: to cook with, provide hot water for personal cleanliness, etc.
  • In the meat packing business for dipping knives to increase the meat cutter's efficiency.
  • In the office to boil that pot of water for the coffee break.

URN TYPE HEATERS   urng_small.jpg - 1437 Bytes More Photos

Urn type immersion heaters are designed for installation in coffee urns, steam tables, and other shallow containers. These heaters are of two coil construction suitable for a three heat control switch. They are made to pass through a 3 5/8" diameter hole when the outlet box is removed. The heater element is installed in a 2 7/16" diameter hole in the bottom of the vessel or container. The heater is copper sheathed and has a 4" outlet box with locknut and gasket. UL listed and available in titanium.
